Mississippi Surge Returning Players

Kiefer Smiley:

The toughest goalie in hockey (four fighting majors in two seasons) returns for his third consecutive season with the Surge.

Reid Edmondson:

The 6’3, 220lb power-forward will be returning for his second season with the Surge. Edmondson joined the team at the midway point of last year’s campaign. Despite only playing in 22 contests due to injury, the Richmond, BC native racked up 18 points (7g, 11a, and 33 PIMs).

Kyle Kudroch:

The gritty, bottom six center will be returning for his second tour of duty on the Gulf Coast. Kudroch posted 22 points (10g, 12a, and 31 PIMs) in 52 games last season.

Matt Gordon

Gordon comes into the 2013-2014 season looking to bounce back from a injury-shortened 2012-2013. The Perth, ON forward still managed to rack up 18 points (8g, 10a, and 8 PIMs) in just 24 games.

Lucas LaBelle:

Some may not consider the undersized, gritty forward a returner, but LaBelle played three games for the Surge in the 2011-2012 season. Having missed the entire the 2012-2013 season due to injury, LaBelle will be raring to go.
