Chapen LeBlond (right) fights Anthony Collins
The Mississippi Surge have announced that they have come to terms with 2nd year pro Chapen LeBlond. LeBlond played in 39 SPHL games for rivals Huntsville Havoc last season. The twenty-two year old winger scored seven goals, assisted on nine more, and racked up 83 penalty minutes. LeBlond also added nine fights to his fight card. With the possible departure of Branden Kosolofsky, LeBlond will move into the agitator role. Much like Kosolofsky, LeBlond also has a goal scoring touch. The Terrace, British Columbia native racked up 72 goals in just three seasons for the Winkler Flyers in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
